Fan Mail 19th Mar 2011
Dear Julian
As the hunting season has now drawn to a close, I would like to express how much I have enjoyed being a guest with the Albrighton Hunt. I have been very fortunate to be invited out by Mr Robin Bhageerutty on 3 occasions – The swan at Whiston, Davenport House and Hinnington Grange. I was also able to cover a hunt member’s gate duties at Shelmore Farm.
On all occasions both my horse and myself have had a wonderful time. This has been the first time out hunting for both of us and it has been brilliant. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful on every outing and helped us to feel at ease throughout.
Again, thank you all very much for a wonderful introduction to hunting.
Kind regards.
Yours sincerely
Julie Earl

As a mounted follower your participation in gate shutting duties is very much appreciated and is a very important one. Please remember to bring a supply of baler twine and a penknife for temporary repairs. Inform the Master of the exact whereabouts of any broken fences, gates or wire fencing requiring further attention after you have made them stock proof. Please inform the Master if you need to leave before the end of the day, and could the younger and more agile members of the field please offer to open gates for masters if gate shutters are elsewhere! You need not pay a cap on the day of your gate shutting duty, and you may wear ratcatcher. If you are unable to attend on your appointed day, you must re-arrange with another hunting member.Your help in this duty is very much appreciated.
